Spares Planner
The Spares Planner is responsible for the procurement and management of spare parts and returns, ensuring seamless support for the Redwood production and service teams operating across multiple 24/7 production lines. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and supply chain strategies to ensure the timely availability of spare parts while minimizing downtime and production disruptions. The Spares Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast needs, manage suppliers, and maintain optimal inventory levels, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of production operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure spare parts when low stock triggers are met
- Manage relationship with suppliers, and help identify preferred vendors
- Manage and communicate delivery schedules to maintenance and engineering teams, including expedite requests as needed by the business
- Utilize ERP, CMMS, and/or Inventory Management software to track, analyze, and manage inventory effectively.
- Send RFQs and complete bid-leveling to ensure best vendor selection for high-value purchases
- Support inventory audits, including reconciliation of any discrepancies found
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in purchasing or spares preferred
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in ERP, CMMS, and/or Inventory Management software.
- A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (more than 80% of shift)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Dusty Environment
- Varied work environments, indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
- Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
- May require the ability to work weekends, nights, or on-call shifts as part of the regular work schedule.
- Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, for extended periods of time.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Monday-Friday Days
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
