Essential Duties:
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager, Energy Storage to lead customer development for utility-scale battery energy storage projects. You’ll engage directly with customers, plan and participate in RFPs, shape commercial proposals, and ensure our sales funnel is filled with a range of customers!
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of BESS opportunities across hyper-scalers, utilities, IPPs, and developers.
- Lead customer engagements from initial contact through to contract execution.
- Be well networked in the BESS customer ecosystem, you’ll need to hit the ground running to help scale Redwood Energy!
- Understand enough of the technical to work with colleagues to translate customer requirements into robust commercial offerings
- Support RFP responses, pricing development, and incentive eligibility strategy.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Commercial, and Finance teams to define and deliver projects for execution.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in BESS, utility-scale solar, or grid-connected energy systems in a sales capacity.
- Proven success working directly with customers to scope, price, and close complex projects.
- Familiarity with Investment Tax Credit (ITC) structuring and related incentive programs
- Proficient in commercial pricing models and proposal documentation.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
