About the Team:
About the Role:
As a Welder III, you will perform functions in building of new test stand facilities and modifying existing test stands to support site testing milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications to determine pipe layouts, materials, and installation procedures.
- Knowledgeable and competent in various welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.
- Prepare and fit materials for welding, including cutting and grinding. Perform welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
- Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Use measuring tools (tape, square, level) and layout tools (chalk lines, torpedo levels, etc.) accurately, operate grinders, torches, and other tools for prepping material.
- Proactively perform work according to procedures, specifications, and work instructions monitor and maintain an inventory of consumables, tooling, and equipment.
About You:
- 7+ years of experience working as a welder
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted, stand for extended periods, and use industry standard PPE
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical documents, and/or engineering drawings
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment (TIG, MIG, etc.)
- Experience and ability to perform part layout and fit-up
- This position will require occasional night shifts and possible travel
Nice to haves but not required:
- Advanced knowledge of fluid systems and their components
- Advanced knowledge engineering ISO prints
- Advanced knowledge and ability using welding systems and their components
Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Stennis, Mississippi.
