We are seeking an experienced FP&A Director to lead financial planning and analysis initiatives across our organization. This role requires a strategic financial leader with demonstrated experience in both public company environments and high-growth startup settings, capable of building robust financial frameworks while maintaining the agility needed in dynamic business conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets aligned with business strategy
Lead annual planning processes and quarterly reforecasting cycles
Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives and investment opportunities
Provide financial insights to support key business decisions and resource allocation
Operational Analysis & Performance Management
Design and implement KPI frameworks and management reporting systems
Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on financial performance
Support business unit leaders with financial analysis for operational improvements
Monitor and analyze unit economics, customer metrics, and operational efficiency drivers
Create, monitor and analyze dashboard for key performance and communicate to leadership
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams on planning and analysis
Support M&A activities including due diligence, modeling, and integration planning
Lead financial aspects of board presentations and investor communications
Mentor and develop FP&A team members
Systems & Process Optimization
Drive automation and process improvements in financial planning and reporting
Evaluate and implement FP&A tools and technologies
Establish scalable processes that support rapid business growth
Required Qualifications
Experience & Background
8+ years of progressive FP&A experience with at least 3 years in a director-level role
Demonstrated experience in both public company and startup/high-growth environments
Experience with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and public company financial processes
Startup experience including rapid scaling, fundraising support, and building processes from the ground up
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis
Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and FP&A software
Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and technology business models
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools preferred
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
CPA, CFA, or similar professional certification a plus
