About the role
The Legal team sits at the heart of Revolut and is a core part of the business. Members of the team provide front-line guidance and support to all areas of the company, contributing to decisions that impact Revolut’s growth every day.
We're looking for a Data Protection & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Legal Counsel to sit within our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Legal (Data Protection & AI) in London, you can be based in our London HQ, but there's also the possibility to work remotely in the UK or Ireland.
The breadth of work you'll encounter (and level of commercial involvement) is pretty unique for an in-house role, from structuring features for customer to launching into new territories. You'll have a large degree of responsibility for Revolut’s ongoing development and growth.

What you'll be doing
- Advising the business on privacy, data protection, and AI legal issues surrounding the structuring of new and existing financial products, and the marketing of them
- Collaborating with product and commercial teams to help design and deliver compliant solutions
- Ensure privacy, data protection, and AI considerations are core parts of the review process when launching features
- Drafting and negotiating contractual data protection and AI clauses with a wide variety of third parties and other Revolut entities
- Maintaining customer-facing privacy notices, explainers, and cookie policies
- Liaising with our global legal counsels on privacy, data protection, and AI matters that impact multiple jurisdictions
- Supporting our Data Subject Rights teams to respond to data protection requests where legal review is required
- Proactively engage and working alongside regulators in multiple countries
- Keeping on top of and advising on legal, regulatory, and industry developments
- Excelling at leadership while also undertaking executional work to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
What you'll need
- 1–2 years of PQE
- Excellent academic and law firm credentials
- Experience advising on privacy, data protection, and AI matters in the United Kingdom and/or Europe
- Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
- Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
- Significant experience providing privacy and data protection legal advice
- Some experience providing AI legal advice (alongside a genuine interest in the area)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience providing detailed product counselling advice on innovative, customer-facing products
- Fluency in English
