About The Role As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Payroll Team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our full-service payroll product. This product manages critical payroll functions, including domestic and international payments, state and federal tax compliance, and integrations with third-party systems for time and attendance, accounting, and pre-tax benefits like 401k and medical deductions. You'll have the opportunity to work on both an admin portal and an employee-facing app, contributing to the success of our global expansion efforts.
What You’ll Do: Global Expansion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand our Payroll product globally, seamlessly integrating with various third-party systems while maintaining a unified and efficient system across multiple countries. Product Development: Work closely with designers, Product Managers, and fellow engineers to plan and develop features that enhance the quality and functionality of our product. Frontend Architecture: Join our Frontend Architecture Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting over 70 frontend engineers, helping them optimize their development cycles. Code Development: Translate wireframes into functional requirements and craft well-abstracted, reusable, high-performance code for UI components. Innovation: Continuously suggest improvements to the user interface, software architecture, or the adoption of new technologies to keep our product at the cutting edge of industry standards.
Qualifications: Frontend Expertise: A minimum of 8 years of experience in front-end engineering roles, with proficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Strong Fundamentals: Demonstrated understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and proficiency in applying design patterns in JavaScript. Familiarity with front-end performance optimization techniques. Technology Skills: Knowledge of Backend technologies and experience in implementing caching strategies to enhance page load times. Tools and Performance: A good grasp of build tools and web performance best practices. Quality Code: Fluent in writing high-quality code and experienced in creating relevant test suites to ensure code integrity. Bonus: Familiarity with BFF (Backend for Frontend) and GraphQL is considered an advantage.
