About the role
The Platform team builds both the product and technology foundations of Rippling. We’re responsible for the data platform, core service framework, permissions, analytics & reporting, customizable workflows, custom fields, and any other core technologies needed to write backend code at Rippling.
This core foundation allows us to build a whole host of features, one of them being Supergroups. Supergroups is a system that allows Rippling users to create dynamic groups of employees based on a whole suite of attributes, such as department or location. You can then use these groups to apply policies, configurations, and much more both within Rippling as well as third-party applications.
Supergroups is the backbone of Rippling’s seamless experience and is relied upon by multiple product teams within the company. This is a unique opportunity to work on a team that has compounding platform value but also product value as well.
What You'll Do:
  • Be a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership, and share your expertise with a growing team of engineers
  • Ship incrementally and continually at high velocity
  • Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and driving best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
  • Interact with customers and support them in being successful with Rippling
  • Influence technology selections and trends of the whole company
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in technical lead of architect roles
  • Preferred experience in our technology stack - Python, Django, Golang, React, MongoDB, Presto, Pinot, Kafka, AWS
  • Experience building large-scale distributed systems, such as high-volume SaaS environments
  • Preferred experience in building out large-scale product infrastructures/platforms
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience mentoring less-experienced developers
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that grants you a lot of autonomy to explore creative solutions

Additional Information:
