About the role

A primary focus for Rippling has been to increase penetration in the Large and Enterprise customer segment, which requires advanced capabilities to organize, manage and grow organizations. The Org Management team primarily focuses on building these capabilities. This includes products and features like Headcount Planning and Comp Bands, as well as connecting these products and features to other products within Rippling. Rippling is also continuing to explore new product opportunities within this growing space.

This engineering role will be responsible for building the product that strengthens the foundation of our Enterprise strategy. This team will be responsible for a suite of core products and services that enables the next generation of Enterprise products to scale. This team will be responsible for managing a combination of both directly user-facing products as well as interfaces for other engineering teams. There are challenges for the team that range from building for usability to scaling for massive growth and a wide array of engineering requirements.

What you will do

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and the business to create user-friendly frontend features
  • Produce quality software that is shipped incrementally and continually at a high velocity
  • Have a lot of clear ownership over various parts of the product
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and fellow engineers to plan features to help bring a high quality product to market
  • Interact with early customers and support them in being successful with the new product
  • Provide thoughtful feedback to your peers, and benefit from strong mentorship yourself
  • Work closely with other engineers on the team to develop scalable, fault-tolerant systems

What you will need

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Experience with Frontend technologies, React experience required
  • Expertise in building distributed services with Python, Golang, or Java
  • You have seen systems operating at a significant technical and organizational scale
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable at developing scalable and extendable core services used in many products

Rippling highly values in-office collaboration. Employees living within 30 miles of an office are expected to work onsite three days a week with those living 30-49.9 miles away expected to be in the office one day a week. Employees living over 50 miles away are required to relocate within 30 miles of an office. To enhance team cohesiveness, new employees are asked to work onsite three days a week for their first six months
