About The Role

As an Associate on the Investor Relations team, you will work on positioning the Rippling story for investors, research analysts, global banks and other important partners. You will build high-trust relationships with our current and prospective investors while guiding Rippling’s approach to financings in the private markets through an IPO and post-IPO In this role you will report directly to the SVP, Head of IR and GM of Startups while working closely with our CFO and CEO as needed. Responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing information that will inform our narrative and investor materials, managing investor and analyst relationships, and managing various investor meetings, presentations, and events. You will also serve as a key resource to internal stakeholders and a strategic contributor to the company’s planning and communications functions. We are looking for an extremely organized, detail oriented, analytical and motivated professional with strong financial analysis and communication skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in developing and sharing the Rippling story to the investment community; including existing investors, prospective investors, and top equity research analysts.
  • Develop a strong financial understanding of the business will be key including knowledge of the annual plan and long-range plan, public market comparables, R&D ROI metrics and how we make decisions, S&M KPIs and guardrails etc.
  • Lead pre-marketing activity, primary capital raise, and annual secondary capital raises including all investor materials, capital raise contracts (side letters, equity raise documents, etc) with the legal function, and strategic planning of announcement with communications function.
  • Managing the fundraising process and the annual employee tender program, as well as helping on investor marketing including conferences, presentations, and managing day-to-day tasks including tracking relationships with the broader investment community.
  • Learn Rippling’s business holistically and regularly interact with colleagues in finance, accounting, legal, communications, and others - you’ll be able to speak knowledgeably about Rippling’s major plans across teams and how things are progressing.
  • Build out and manage the investor update program for existing and new investors. This includes quarterly updates for select investors as well as materials preparation related to fundraising.
  • Developing mature infrastructure for investor relations at a pre-IPO company, including quarterly earnings cadence (script, Q&A prep, shareholder letter and other investor resources), and collections of market news / benchmarking for our executive team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience presenting highly complex financial or technical information.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with investors ideally.
  • 5 to 8+ years of proven, relevant experience raising capital / investor relations, working in finance team at a company, capital markets, or investment banking. Backgrounds from investment firms (e.g. venture capital, growth equity, private equity mutual funds, other) also of interest.
  • Thorough understanding of markets, financial statements and analysis, and technology trends.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills. Can distill complex financial and business information into clear and succinct messages.
  • Effective relationship-building skills and can quickly establish trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset, highly analytical, and detail-oriented. Can execute on both tactical and strategic projects.
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and can deliver high quality work under tight deadlines with a high level of autonomy and reliability.
