About the Role

Rippling's special sauce is its ability to automatically react and understand changes and connections across many systems. Supergroups power this capability.

The next phase of Rippling’s Platform focuses on enabling next-generation product development with AI as we scale our product to larger, global organizations. If you find solving AI and distributed systems problems at scale exhilarating, this is the role for you.

You will build fundamental components that empower engineers and customers to develop software with step function-inducing capabilities. Your work will transform how solutions are built by Rippling and our customers..

What You Will Do

• Help create the AI strategy for platform
• Lead mission critical projects to build and scale core platform capabilities
• Work closely with engineers across the organization to adopt these components to evolve existing products and bring new products to market
• Influence architecture, technology selections, and trends of the whole company
• Build and grow your engineering skills in different challenging areas and solve hard technical problems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in building complex distributed services with high availability and strict SLAs
• Experience building large-scale user-facing applications, APIs, and developer tools
• Preferred experience in our technology stack- Python, Django, Golang, MongoDB, Kafka, Flink, AWS
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them
• A track record of influencing and enabling forward-thinking technology decisions across a wide organization
• Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas with clarity and precision in written and verbal modes

Rippling highly values in-office collaboration. Employees living within 30 miles of an office are expected to work onsite three days a week with those living 30-49.9 miles away expected to be in the office one day a week. Employees living over 50 miles away are required to relocate within 30 miles of an office. To enhance team cohesiveness, new employees are asked to work onsite three days a week for their first six months.
