Rippling
About Rippling
Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About the role
As Rippling IT’s first IT Community Evangelist, you’ll be tasked with one of the company’s most important efforts – building out our community in the IT space and in turn, helping drive the growth engine for Rippling IT. We’re looking for someone who knows IT in-and-out and can design, build and run a word-class experience that turns IT professionals into Rippling IT advocates.
You’ll own day-to-day community operations end-to-end and will shape the community experience top-to-bottom. From running events and curating content to developing relationships in-market and building out scalable engagement systems – this is a hands-on builder role that blends marketing, ops, and relationship management. It’s ideal for someone who can move fast, connect dots and turn a vision into a repeatable machine.
What you will do
- Be the voice of Rippling’s IT Community. Design and host IRL events, AMAs, webinars and other industry events that get IT leaders excited to attend.
- Engage in-market in existing communities. Participate actively and authentically in Reddit, MacAdmins, Spiceworks and other IT community spaces. It’s critical that you know the product inside-and-out and can speak to it publicly.
- Bring practitioner insights into our content. Partner with the content and social teams to inject real-world IT expertise into our newsletter, thought leadership and storytelling. This includes creating video content with you as the featured speaker.
- Develop relationships in-market. Source and secure speakers for events, build connections with prospects and customers, and strengthen partnerships with other vendors.
- Help our product win. Give feedback to our product and sales team in pursuit of delighting more customers with Rippling IT.
- Build your (and our) presence on social media. We want Rippling IT to be a household name for IT professionals – your growing presence on social media will help get us there.
- Run day-to-day community operations. From operations and systems to entry-points and onboarding, help us build the Rippling IT community from the ground up.
What you will need
- 8+ years in IT administration and leadership, with deep practitioner credibility
- Strong public speaking, writing, and social presence – ideally with an established personal brand or audience
- Genuine curiosity about the IT landscape and the evolving role of IT professionals
- Comfort and excitement representing Rippling IT externally across events, panels, and online communities
- Exceptional communication and executive presence
- A builder’s mindset – you’ll help create a movement from the ground up
- Alignment with Rippling IT’s mission: freeing smart people to work on hard problems
