Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Technician with a Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline). The role involves providing technical support in the assembly, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, equipment, and components. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines and tools.
  • Operate 3D printers,drill, grinder and other machine tools when required.
  • Support engineers in prototype development, fabrication, and testing of mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manuals.
  • Record maintenance and service activities in logs and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (fitter, or related trades).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or service environment (freshers may also be considered).
  • Proficiency in mechanical tools, instruments, and measurement devices (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances.
  • Knowledge of CNC/ conventional machining operations is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and root cause analysis.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
