About the team

The Startup Sales team is a new business team that is responsible for the acquisition, growth and retention of Startup and Commercial customers. As an Account Executive on the Startup sales team, you’ll identify opportunities for new or existing customers to get the most out of Stripe, execute scaled sales strategies to grow revenue in your territory, and drive end-to-end campaigns to increase adoption of Stripe’s offering.

What you’ll do

As an Account Executive, you will play an instrumental role in fueling Stripe’s growth through acquiring, growing and expanding Startup and Commercial accounts. In this role, you will help build out a new team and GTM motion at Stripe.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential prospective users and use effective prospecting strategies to generate leads that drive revenue growth in your territory
  • Develop and implement scaled sales strategies for acquiring new customers and driving product adoption, net new product sales, and client retention at scale
  • Identify and understand users’ pain points to propose Stripe solutions and own the full sales cycle, from business case development to close
  • Own contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations to increase and retain existing customer revenue and Stripe market share
  • Work cross-functionally to solve user pain paints and improve our product
  • You will be required to work from the Dublin office three (3) days per week

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years full sales cycle/closing experience
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple product
  • Strong operational acumen and ability to manage high volumes and high velocity work
  • Ability and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • You will be required to work from the Dublin office three (3) days per week

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role at a high growth technology company

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €122,400 - €183,600. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
