We are rapidly progressing towards launching the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, along with the advanced Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of diverse autonomous assets, enabling human operators to achieve unprecedented results.

Our team boasts experience in building and exiting multiple startups, negotiating defense deals worth billions, and designing and constructing over 30 innovative aircraft. Our expertise spans top aerospace companies such as Scaled Composites, SpaceX, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.

As the Materials and Process Lead, you will be instrumental in researching and developing materials and processes suitable for high-rate production of aircraft structures. You will collaborate closely with the structures design team to integrate design optimizations for efficient high-volume production.

Responsibilities

  • Research, test, and select appropriate material systems and processes for volume production of a large Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).
  • Validate material properties through simulation and testing.
  • Design processes for structural component fabrication and full-scale assembly.
  • Validate production processes through simulation and testing.
  • Support the structures design team in ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a production environment focused on building structures.
  • Proven track record of generating material properties data for composite systems.
  • Hands-on experience with both composite and aluminum structures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a production environment building aerospace structures.
  • Expertise in creating or managing high-volume production build environments.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
