We are seeking an experienced Engineering Design Specialist with exceptional CAD skills to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a passion for design and a proven track record in a manufacturing environment.

The Engineering Design Specialist will play a critical role in the design and development of new products and the enhancement of existing products using CAD software. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet all quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar) to create detailed 2D and 3D models of components and assemblies.

• Develop and optimize design solutions that are innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective.

• Conduct detailed design analyses, including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to develop and produce prototypes and final products.

• Lead design reviews and provide technical expertise to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, including specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and change management records.

• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues that arise during manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in design engineering, with a significant portion spent in volume manufacturing environments such as aerospace, automotive, or similar.

• Expert proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar).

• 12+ yeas of developing manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Extensive experience with FEA, CFD, and other engineering analysis tools.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.

• Proven track record of leading design projects from concept through production.

• Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.

Compensation Range:

• $155,000 - $185,000 + Equity
