Your Role
We're seeking a DevOps Engineer II for our Platform Engineering team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be crucial in building reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that empowers Tamara’s developers to ship with confidence and speed.
Drawing on your proficiency in infrastructure, developer platforms, and cloud-native technologies, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing core platform capabilities, from Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines to monitoring and deployment tooling, ensuring strong foundations that scale with our growth.
With experience in supporting internal developer platforms and managing cloud-native systems, you will collaborate with a diverse ecosystem of talented engineers, product managers, and infrastructure experts to improve reliability, reduce operational burden, and enable engineering autonomy across the company, ultimately helping revolutionize the way millions of users shop, pay, and bank.

Your Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve core infrastructure components including Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, observability stacks, and service networking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify platform friction points and design automation to reduce manual effort and improve engineering productivity.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and drive post-incident reviews that lead to long-term stability improvements.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Help define and enforce platform standards across environments, including tagging, access policies, and cost optimization.
- Support the rollout of new tools, frameworks, or platform features by collaborating closely with developers and product teams.
- Document platform systems, usage guides, and troubleshooting steps to foster internal adoption and reduce knowledge silos.
Your Expertise
- 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms like GCP, OCI, or AWS.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g. GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system debugging.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, ELK).
- Programming or scripting knowledge in at least one language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
- Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for exploring and implementing new technologies and solutions to enhance system reliability.
