Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.</span></div> <div><br></div> <div><span>As part of the Software team in Las Vegas, you will focus on building and operating the Vegas Loop, a 78 miles and 108 stations underground transportation system.</span></div> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Architect and implement high quality code for safety critical controls to run all aspects of the Vegas Loop traffic controls.</span></li> <li><span>Iterate and optimize the traffic control algorithms to achieve maximum system efficiency.</span></li> <li><span>Design and develop software to automate Vegas Loop operations.</span></li> <li><span>Provide troubleshooting support during Vegas Loop operational hours.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Basic Qualification</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.</span></li> <li><span>Experience building and maintaining backend systems in C, C++, Go, or Rust.</span></li> <li><span>Solid understanding of computer networking, including TCP/IP, sockets, and HTTP.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with concurrent programming and/or distributed systems.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with designing and testing algorithms to solve computational problems.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with Python or other scripting languages</span></li> <li><span>Strong independent debugging and quantitative reasoning skills.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div> <strong>Preferred Qualification</strong><span>:</span> </div> <ul> <li><span>Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.), including experience with database schema design, query optimization, and data management best practices.</span></li> <li><span>background in cybersecurity and secure coding practices.</span></li> <li><span>Experience writing code for safety critical and real-time systems.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with iOS development.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></div> <div><span>Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary.</span></div> </div></div>
