About the role
To reach net zero in 2050 the world needs to be electrified rapidly. New electrified vehicles and energy systems are heavily relying on batteries and require the right solutions to scale-up successfully. TWAICE is leading the market of battery analytics software with cutting edge and industry-leading technology in Europe and the Americas. As a Senior Manager Commercial Finance, you will drive critical financial projects & processes with the potential to lead this function within TWAICE.

In this role, you will operate as part of the Finance & Legal team and collaborate consistently with Commercial functions, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success. This position offers a unique combination of Commercial Finance, FP&A and Controlling with the opportunity to not only shape finance & revenue operations but also the future of TWAICE.
Your daily business will involve
  • End-to-end ownership overseeing the entire commercial customer lifecycle, ensuring adherence to financial and legal standards.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer needs whilst considering profitability.
  • Manage order processing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
  • Identify and implement improvements to commercial processes adapting to evolving business needs by working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Accounting and Legal.
  • Manage and execute all reporting related topics for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly financial, management (financial & operative KPIs) and investor reporting.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and forecasting (order intake, contract value, revenue, costs) ensuring stakeholders input adequately and continuously stay on board with the plan.
  • Cost & margin controlling conducting in-depth analyses to assess project, customer, and product profitability.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision making by providing financial guidance and insights into business performance to various audiences across the company.
Your profile
  • Minimum 3 years full-time work experience in relevant areas such as Finance, FP&A, Controlling, Commercial Finance.
  • Understand the complexities of maturing (Enterprise) software products, direct experience in a software company valued but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience with/implementing LucaNet, DATEV and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to problem solving and a willingness to work operationally in a small team. Hands-on & proactive is your way of working.
  • A solid understanding of commercial legal frameworks in the enterprise software industry and their financial implications.
  • Believes that communication is on par with accuracy when it comes to effective collaboration.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, controlling, or a similar field.
  • Fluent in English and German (C1) is mandatory.
