Their solutions include digital asset management, multi-channel content creation, audience segmentation, and tools to boost revenue from both digital and traditional sources
Responsibilities & Functions:
- Campaign Governance & Design: Define the methodological and measurement framework for campaigns (objectives, hypotheses, A/B and multivariate experimental design), advise on mix and budget allocation; day-to-day tactical execution falls to the team/agencies.
- Research-led Content Frameworks: Develop content guidelines and standards based on audience/market research; coordinate perception and brand lift studies (no operational copywriting).
- SEO/SEM Strategy & Measurement: Establish strategy, taxonomy, tagging standards and attribution models for SEO/SEM; monitor KPIs and data quality; technical implementation is carried out by the team/suppliers.
- Analytics & Modelling: Build data-driven attribution models and marketing mix modelling (basic/intermediate level); perform forecasting and statistical segmentation; translate insights into executive decisions.
- Social Listening & Insights: Define measurement frameworks for social media (share of voice, sentiment, incrementality) and coordinate with teams to adopt findings (no daily community management).
Required Competencies:
- Scientific/Analytical Thinking: Study design, statistical inference, and rigorous experimentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to align Management, Sales, Product and CS with data-driven narrative.
- Methodological Rigor & Ethics: Measurement governance, validity/reliability and GDPR compliance.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Executive storytelling; translating models/insights into business decisions.
- Adaptability: Incorporating new methodologies and changes in the data ecosystem.
- Time Management: Planning studies and analytical sprints in parallel with cross-functional dependencies.
Hard Skills:
- Analytics & Data: GA4/Looker Studio, functional SQL (BigQuery desirable); Python/R for modelling is valued.
- Experimentation: Design and analysis of A/B and MVT tests (power, significance, I/II errors).
- Research: Survey design, sampling, cleaning and analysis; social listening and brand tracking.
- Attribution & MMM: Data-driven models and marketing mix modelling (basic/intermediate level).
Average Salary in Spain:

Certifications or Studies Desired:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Marketing, Communications, Business/Economics, Statistics or related field (hiring based on qualifications).
- Google Ads / GA4 Certifications; HubSpot/Marketo (analytics/automation).
- Training in applied statistics, attribution and MMM; SQL; Python/R is a plus.
Development and Career Progression:
- Specialisation in Marketing Analytics/Science; leadership of measurement practices and data governance.
- Progression to roles of Insights Lead / Marketing Science Lead / Head of Analytics.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., cloud/BI, experimentation, privacy certifications).
