Vay is the first company that has driven a car on European public roads with no one inside. Vay is the leading teledriving company setting the global standard for remotely driven vehicles. Vay aims to launch a safe, affordable, and sustainable door-to-door mobility service in the US, Germany and beyond. With its first service, Vay plans to remotely deliver and return electric cars for its customers.

Summary:

We seek a skilled and driven HR Business Partner to join Vay's People & Talent team reporting into our Head of Talent Acquisition. As part of this team, you will be critical in supporting and optimising our talent acquisition strategy through hands on sourcing & interview coordination across both our Berlin & Las Vegas offices. This person will lead the build out of HR/people processes in Las Vegas. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across business & engineering to effectively build out a scalable HR function in Las Vegas and be the bridge to ensure our culture is mirrored with our Berlin HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Support our Head of TA on hiring for both our Las Vegas & Berlin offices building sourcing pipelines, candidate communication & interview coordination. You will have the opportunity to upskill in to the full recruitment lifecycle as part of your development
  • Employer branding: Build network & reputation for Vay in US market to prepare for scale
  • HR: Collaborate with People & Legal team to implement US HR playbook/guidelines focusing around insurance, sick leave, salary benchmarking, overtime, grievances & more
  • People operations: Be the face of the people function in the US creating an attractive benefits package, whilst leading on the onboarding & offboarding activities & driving team engagement through event management
  • Finance: Support our finance team with payroll processing & enquiries
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Comms/Marketing, Finance, Engineering & Operations to build culture based on our company values.

The profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR related field
  • Minimum one year professional experience within HR operations role
  • Experience within tech start-up environment
  • Strong understanding of US employment law
  • Passionate about talent acquisition with experience building hiring pipelines
  • Understanding of how to develop employer brand proposition
  • Experience with onboarding & onboarding processes
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in talent acquisition within a deep tech environment
  • Previous experience implementing benefits package for organisation
  • Ability to implement HR playbook for new business entity
