Vay aims to launch a safe, affordable, and sustainable door-to-door mobility service in the US, Germany and beyond. The role:

We are seeking a skilled, hands-on and dedicated Warehouse & Inventory Associate to join our Vay team in Las Vegas (NV). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our warehouse in Las Vegas, including the inbound and outbound flow of materials, the availability of stock and update of the company systems, the inspection of materials according to quality and operational requirements, as well as the upkeep and layout of the warehouse itself.

The responsibilities:

  • Receive and manage inbound materials, tools and goods. Ensuring accurate checks are undertaken and items properly managed through our ERP systems
  • Monitor storage and distribution of goods ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location (e.g. Vay warehouses) on time and efficiently
  • Manage stock and perform regular inventory checks of Vay’s warehouses in Berlin and overseas
  • Execute inbound movements and outbound shipments of goods worldwide, potentially taking care of customs topics
  • Perform incoming inspections on received goods and manage claims and returns to suppliers in case of issues
  • Inventory management through Vay’s ERP system
  • Execute spot buying for goods and services requested on-demand by Engineering Operations teams
  • Ensure that warehouse and logistic processes are updated for every hardware change in the system configurations
  • Manage and optimize logistic feed for production and engineering processes
  • Drives continuous process improvement and facilitates the standardization, continuous improvement, digitalization, and automation of the end-to-end logistic process
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast upcoming levels of demand, maintaining an appropriate safety stock of parts
  • Optimize logistic and customs processes
  • Planning, setup and execution of new warehouses and production feed processes in new overseas locations
  • Support maintenance of configurations and bill of materials together with the responsible engineering owners

The profile:

  • 2+ Years of professional experience in a hands-on inbound and outbound warehousing role
  • Proven skills in inventory monitoring and proficiency in using a warehouse management (WMS) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
  • Good physical fitness for manual handling activities
  • Precision and attention to details, especially when dealing with inventory management and order fulfillment
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration, as the ability to work well in a team
  • Startup mindset and experience in working in a fast-paced environment
  • English language proficiency
  • Happy to travel internationally on occasion

Nice to have:

  • A background from a engineering or industrial environment, preferably Automotive
  • Commercial apprenticeship (“Ausbildung”) in the fields of warehouse operations or logistics and an high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in incoming inspections/quality controls, quantity planning
  • Knowledge of configuring ERP/WMS systems (Odoo would be ideal)
